As defined by FINE, an informal association of four international fair trade networks, "Fair trade is a trading partnership, based on dialogue, transparency and respect, which seeks greater equity in international trade. It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to, and securing the rights of, marginalized producers and workers." In this interactive session our panelists will present the key issues of applying fair-trade principles domestically and will moderate audience discussion and debate on defining an organic fair-trade stance. Panelists will recap the audience discussion, outcomes and take-aways at the close of the session.
